Takeout near Shelton, CT

I recently started working in Shelton, have quickly grown tired of the lunch places I've found (Liquid Lunch, Grille & Bar, Panda). Any suggestions for other places that do takeout other than all of the mega chain restaurants around here?

  1. I used to live in the Tudor Ridge apartments across from Sikorsky on route 110. In Shelton on rt. 110 there is Casa Nova, which is Italian, with rather good pizza. Across from Sikorsky in Stratford there is Stella's. Also Italian, not quite as good pizza as Casa Nova but no slouch either. I believe they have more lunch-oriented things than Casa Nova. They're cheap, too. On Bridgeport Ave in Shelton near Bertucci's and Ruby Tuesday there is also the Plaza Diner. They don't have takeout per se, but you can probably phone in a to-go order. They have usual diner fare, with a few Greek specialities.

    1. Around Huntington green is the Huntington Street Cafe which has some interesting sandwiches. Also, sometimes the Metro Grill has interesting specials - it's located in the Stop and Shop strip mall on Bpt Ave.
