Warning to those who Tivo Top Chef

Last night I Turned on my tv to find a message from my Tivo saying there was a change in my cable lineup and that chanel 48 BRAVO had been deleted. I quickly freaked the @#%&
out and turned to channel 48 to see if cable had infact taken it away and luckily Bravo was
still on my cable line up, I could watch it, but for some reason Tivo would not acknowledge it, in the title area it just read "to be announced". I then checked my season pass manager and sure enough all Bravo shows had been deleted, I tried to request it to record, but Top Chef isn't even listed in the pick programs to record option!

I called Tivo this morning and sure enough I wasn't the only one to report this problem, I came here to Chowhoud to see if any one on this boards had the same issue. I don't know if it's a regional problem, (I live in San Francisco) but Tivo did say this problem was being worked on and promised resolution in 5 WORKING DAYS!

Guess I'm staying up late to watch Top Chef tonight!

So please, all you Top Chef Tivo-ers check your setting snd make sure you still have that channel.

I'm pissed about this. TiVo has excommunicated Bravo and us Top Chef fans deserve a good answer for why this happened! Or one year of free service...

I was actually thinking if I should ask for some sort of compensation, maybe if enough of us do....

I stayed up to watch, but I wish I could have it recorded to watch again, I only hope
they rerun it while Tivo's up an running.

I was just about to yell at my boyfriend for not tivoing top chef ("I can't find it, I swear!") when I found your post. Now I have to admit he was right. Thanks a lot Kristine - geez. ;)

Not to mention that if you have DirectTV, you're likely to see the last minute of the previous airing of TC right before your finale episode. Which means you'll see the winner celebrating with their family before you see the episode. Grrrrrr.

You don't have to stay up late -- you can just manually record channel 48 from 10 to 11:15 so that you can record it without having the name in the list.

But thanks for the info, I'll check my TiVo as soon as I get home!

I tried this last night with my Tivo and it wouldn't recognize that the channel existed and, therefore wouldn't let me manually record it either. I could watch the channel, but Tivo wouldn't recognize it otherwise.

It's 10:15 PST right now and Bravo isn't working for me at all on Time Warner Cable in San Diego. What really pisses me off is that its the only channel not working. I can get all the other channels just fine. Dammit.. I was really looking forward to watching the finale tonight.

I have DirecTV DVR and will check to see if my Season Pass manager is impacted.

Just checked and DirecTV DVR shows the finale on the To Do list as planned. Looks like the episode will run about 15 minutes longer....FYI!

We're in San Francisco and had exactly the same issue. Had to watch Queer Eye in real time...I kept trying to fast forward through the commercials. Sheesh.
