Any recommendations for a good restaurant in Wakefield/Narragansett for a Saturday birthday lunch? Thanks!

    Since it should be a warm beautiful day you might consider Amalfi's sitting on the patio watching the ocean. I haven't been to the area in a couple of years, but they used to be very good.

    The Coast Guard house, great view also, but not sure about the food. Their website is under construction, so not sure if their menu is too.

    Turtle Soup - good food good view;

    For really casual and good views, you could also try Champlins in Galilee, a lot of fried food, but other items too. Not gourmet, but pretty decent.

      Agree, if it's THIS Saturday I'd try to sit outside one last time - but call ahead to make sure they're still serving outside. Some pack up based on calendar, not weather.

      Check the recipe of the week in today's Projo food section....it speaks of a new Narragansett resto whose name escape me right now.

        That would be The Ugly Old Toad, where Wiley's used to be down by Point Judith.

      Thanks for the replys so far! Also should have mentioned lactose intolerance and nut allgery involved. Amalfi looks wonderful but very cheesy! Please keep the suggestions coming!

        Mew's Tavern in Wakefield is excellent...it's right across from the Hera Gallery on Main Street. I'm lactose intollerant too (and vegetarian) and I still enjoyed it!
