<content>At the suggestion of several hounds discussing options in the Richmond, I went to Panda Country Kitchen. Thanks hounds. What a find! Szechwan, Chong Qing, and northern Chinese dishes. We had the incredible bargain lunch: 3 full size dishes, rice, and soup for $13.99:

1 shredded pork with smoked tofu - strips of tofu and pork. Somewhat bland; this could use more spices or seasonings to bring out the flavors.

2 eggplant szechwan - excellent. Spicy and a little sweet. Dry fried. Acceptable and expected amount of chili oil coats the bottom of the dish.. No gloppy sauce found at many restaurants. Could be much spicier, but still lovely.

3 dry cooked green bean with ground pork - nicely seared beans. I didn't see any pork though. Again, could use more spices or seasonings to kick up the flavor.

Service was very friendly. The restaurant is spacious and clean. (didn't have a chance to check out the bathroom though). I'll ask for hotter and spicier next time.

The list of house special dishes shows a surprising amount of regional, unusual dishes such as charred fire pork chitlins, chong qing style spicy chicken, chestnut with chicken stew breaised beef tendon, duck cooked with taro, and phoenix pork kidney flower.

This will be on my list of favorites.
