Thoughts on Sesto Senso in Dupont

Friends are heading there tonight. I've never been, just wanted to get a feel for the place.

  1. I used to be a regular for lunch and dinner some years ago because my office was nearby. I still go once in a while (tho only for lunch). I can't speak for what the latest and greatest is there, but I can say that over time, there are some solid consistencies:
    > The fetuccine bolognese and papardelle with smoked mozzarella and roasted peppers are both quite good
    > The tricolore/house salad is very nice and perfectly dressed
    > Sounds odd, but the vegetable puree soups are outstanding
    > Also, usually brought to us as a complementary starter, but may have to be ordered -- they have flatbread with a terrific sauce to put on top -- diced jalapenos in olive oil.
