I'm getting together with 2 former co-workers for dinner on Thursday evening. One prefers midtown, convenient to Grand Central. We haven't seen each other in years so we'd prefer a place not too noisy with a simple menu. Any suggestions?
Both choices are great in terms of food and lack of noise level. Different price points though. L'impero is more expensive and Cibo is more casual. I like both and it just depends on your budget.
Cibo on 2nd Avenue and 41st Street has a delightful, low key (and quiet) ambience and very good food. Their prix fixe is one of the best deals around.
l'impero might work. handsome room, very good food.here's a link:http://www.limpero.com/htm/index.htm
