BLT Steak tonight for dinner/drinks

I remember reading good and bad about this place. I'm meeting a group of 4 there tonight and was nervous about the prices and the bad food reviews. Any helpful tips, suggestions? Thanks!

BLT's hamburger was reviewed with great praise by the WaPo's Food section last week. It would appear to be the best value on the (very $$$$) menu.

i have never been disappointed with my food there, but it is defintiely pricey. to save some money you can skip an appetizer, between the pate and the popovers you wont need it.
