quiet, round table, Chelsea?

We are looking for dinner for 8 this Saturday night and would love to find - in this order:
a quiet enough for conversation place
perhaps in Chelsea and
possibly with round tables - although not absolutely necessary.

Sorry - no Asian food is an option. Thank you!

It may be a bit further east, but Beppe has some round tables for 8. While a few think it's gone downhill since Ceasar left, i think you'll still get what you're looking for.

And make sure to try the tuscan fries!

Basta Pasta doesn't get loud (not when I've been there at least), great food. But I don't remember if the tables are round.

Campanile, on 29th St., b/t Madison & Park Av. S., is a hidden neighborhood gem. The traditional Italian cuisine served there is well-prepared and delicious. Service is friendly and efficient. The ambiance has an old-fashioned feel about it, with nicely-spaced tables and a very conversation-friendly noise level. There is a round table in the front section that can comfortably seat 8.
