My husband and I are helping his brother move from Columbus, GA to Fort Polk, LA in a week. Where should we stop to eat? I think we are taking I-65, I-10, and I-49. thanks!

Bates House of Turkey in Greenville, Ala. is worthy of a pitstop. A wide range of choices surrounding, of all things, turkey! BTW, the Turkey Salad is very good.

If you are coming through Thomasville Ga. in route to I-10 then there are two places that you should not miss. The first is the Billiard Academy. One of the best chili dogs in the south - possibly the world. 121 South Broad Street Thomasville, GA 31792 - 229-226-9981 Not at all upscale as it is a pool hall.

The other is casually upscale is open for breakfast ,lunch, and dinner on the weekends and that is Liam's - I would consider calling ahead too.
