Can I still get Moon Cakes?

Can I still find a few? Would the Van Nuys 99 ranch have them, or that place in Galleria Market in Northridge, or Greenlands?

Do they freeze well?

I want to get some for this weekend.

    1. I think so. I went to Shun Fat in Monterey Park this weekend and they had a table full of them on sale. $15.99 for a box AND buy one get one free.

      1. Most Chinese supermarkets should still have some on hand at DEEP discounts.

If you don't see any out front, ask one of the managers and see if they are stocked in the back as RTV merchandise.

As with anything you freeze, mooncakes will keep in the freezer so long as you wrap them tightly and properly.

Heck, send me a self-addressed FedEx box and you can have all 5 boxes I still have sitting at home ... LOL.

        1. They're definitely still around, usually at 50% off (or more!)... was just in Rowland Heights yesterday.

The Rowland Heights Diamond Bakery in the 99 Ranch plaza (Nogales/Gale) has them buy 1 get 1 free (individual). Supermarkets should still have boxed mooncakes. The Van Nuys 99 Ranch probably has them (or ask, as ipsedixit suggested).

          1. most of the bakeries on bolsa ave have them in little saigon.

            handle it...
