Mirko Pasta - Watkinsville(Athens,GA)
My wife and I went to Mirko Pasta on saturday night. It is newly opened on main street in the same shoppping center as Le Maison Bleu. It is is a new restaurant by the owners of Figo pasta in Atlanta.
When you walk in you grab a menu and then order from a counter. After that you sit down and are waited on. The service included some great bread with a white bean dip/puree.
All of the pasta seems to be made fresh as well as the sauces.
We split some apps and a salad, all of which were good. The caesar salad was the best and was elegantly plated.
For entrees I had a taglioni(sp?) pasta w/ tomatoes and crab which was incredible. My wife had a ravioli w/ spinach and some sort of cheese which she loved as well.
Overall, the restaurant is very good and well priced. I personally don't like ordering at the counter but it may be nice for some quick and delicious food. It also makes ordering desert/wine somewhat a pain.
