Is this place open anymore? I'm going to the Glenn Gould studio Thursday and and want to grab some Japanese (usually Ema Tei in that hood) before the performance... domo...

It was still there as of a couple of weeks ago (when I last walked by). There have been some pretty enthusiastic reports about Yuzu, which is also in that nabe.

They definitely still have the boats (walked by last night and gawked in the window), but I've never tried the food... would be curious to hear a report.

Went there a couple of times for lunch this summer. Yes, the sushi bar has boats floating around. The food was decent enough, but not spectacular.

I was really surpirsed by lunch there last year the portions were large (al a carte not sushi), quality above average, decre upscale and the prices downright cheap.

We take our son to Fune a few times a year, but agree with @stw - food is okay, fresh and nice, but not blow your socks off good. However, the 6 year old seriously digs it and we have to stop him from grabbing plate after plate after plate. I usually order a few dishes from the menu as well - it's authentic Japanese. When they have them, the mochi they serve are yummy. Was there most recently in March - place needs an update, though - looking a little threadbare in places.
