I have a car this weekend! Can anyone recommend chowhoundish must-eats anywhere in the boroughs... particularly places that are hard to get to if you don't have a car? I'd love to make the most of my weekend-with-wheels. I live in Sunnyside but am open to anything and everything.

i second the red hook ballfields suggestion. plus, the parking is quite ample in the area.

how about korean out in bayside? there's the korean chicken craze - bon chon chicken, kyo chon chicken, cheong ha jip, another one across from han yang supermarket, etc. these are all on northern blvd. then there's the korean kalbi places and samgyupsal places - i like nam oh jung on northern and ham ji bahk near the lirr murray hill.

go to an asian supermarket - han ah reum either on union st or on northern blvd are good choices. gold city supermarket on kissena blvd has the cheapest, freshest, high turnover of veggies.

though not food-related, i suggest going to a target/walmart/costco, too. :-)

I'm new to this board and area, so this suggestion my get trashed, but I really liked Joe and Pats for pizza. Thin crispy crust with just the right bend and a rememberable semi-sweet sauce.

Out in Staten Isl not too far off the highway, past the bridge.
