Second Cup's Vanilla Bean Latte

Hi,
Does anyone know how to make a vanilla bean latte like the one at second cups? I have tried starbucks one but it doesn't taste as good, I am having a little trouble figuring out the ratio's, but I already have the torani syrup they use, thanks :)

  1. I buy these two-three a week. In a year, it works out to be $360-$400 annual.
That's enough to justify buying my own espresso machine which I don't have Espresso is one of the ingredients cause you need strong coffee.

The syrup Second Cup uses is a hybrid of torani vanilla syrup (gives it is sweetness) and real vanilla bean extract (expensive but gives it the trademark aroma). If you research on the net, artificial is pretty toxic for you in the long run.

I too bought the Starbucks vanilla and it's nasty. I have a Aero Latte wand that is collecting dust. Does a good job of making the foam when I used it.

As soon as I get some time to get real vanilla bean, I'll re-try my experimenting and see how that goes. If you try it out, let me know!

well my sister works at starbucks, and I know that she makes it with:
      shot of espresso
      steamed milk
and 2 pumps of the vanilla syrup
But yea, I have to agree that their syrup is gross, I bought some torani syrup and it tastes way better, I've never actually had starbucks vanilla latte, because I don't really like them
