I am considering purchasing a GE Profile convection double oven range. The 2nd oven is on the bottom, close to the floor. I know bottom is not the greatest, however I think I will just use it as I would use a toaster oven for small things and it can also be used as a warming oven at a low temperature.. My question is whether there are any installation considerations concerning heat and flooring. Is the bottom drawer oven well enough insulated to protect a wooden floor when the drawer is opened?

I think you will be fine with a wood floor. I have the profile slide-in which doesn't have the double-oven. A friend has the Jenn-air and it think it is a better design. The double oven is on the top. Here is a link: http://www.jennair.com/catalog/product.jsp?parentCat=2&cat=69&prod=143

Since I couldn't find a double-oven as a slide in, I added a convection microwave and it works out well.
