best sushi in dc?

what is the best sushi in dc? I don't care about price. I want a great sushi chef who i can order omakase style from. I've never done it before and didn't really know it was possible until now.

There are quite a few threads on this, so I recommend a search....

BUT, omakase is absolutely best from Kaz Okochi at Kaz Sushi Bistro. He's probably the best in the whole area. He was executive chef at Sushi-Ko about 20 years ago and went back to Japan for more training, even learned how to prepare fugu, before returning and opening his own place. Call ahead to make sure he's available, but omakase from Kaz is probably an other-worldly experience.
