Need recs for early dinner near Santa Monica/Cahuenga
Hi CH-ers. I'm looking for a spot in Hollywood, close to Santa Monica and Cahuenga for at least four people, entrees under $20 preferred. Would also like a place with parking. Food can be ethnic as long as there's a chicken or vegie option. Informal OK, but not bare-bones decor. Thanks in advance.

Just wanted to say that we had dinner at the Larchmont Grill, and I was most impressed with this place. It was comfortable with tables spaced nicely. The house was warm and inviting. The service was attentive. I had the braised spare ribs, and it was superb. I order this dish when I see it but this was the best version I'd had. The beef was so tender that a knife was not needed. Price of entree was $18. I will go back there.

If Melrose and Vine is close enough - one major street in for each way - I'd recommend Lou. It's a wine bar with really great small plates, some hot dishes, and a few larger plates. Good desserts, too. The décor's nice, the staff's friendly, there's a laid-back vibe, and the parking lot is small, but it's there.
