I've been once, last year and had a good but not particularly memorable meal. They've recently hired Mary Dumont from The Dunaway Restaurant in Portsmouth, NH.Has anybody been recently? The menu on their website looks like it hasn't changed all that much.
I haven't been for about a year and a half. The memorable dish I had was a lovely roasted skate, which I see is no longer on the menu. But that Cavendish quail may just be the thing that brings me back.
Last I heard (earlier this week) was that she was just about ready to premier 'her' new menu. Assuming the website hasn't been updated, so maybe it's worth a call to them to find out timing. She will probably start with a seasonal fall menu, which is pretty hard given our current hot steamy weather!
Mrs. b and I had lunch at Harvest recently and really enjoyed it -- had the catch of the day served over starch and veggies, Tuna Bolognese (odd idea for a dish, but very tasty), and shared a salad and a calamari appetizer. They also had a really good bread basket with lots of varied items that they apparently bake in-house.
The menu on the website is different from the menu that was posted outside the restaurant as recently last Sunday. That menu was dated August 18. The current issue of the Improper Bostonian says to expect a new menu from Chef Dumont soon.
