Ancho rubbed filet + ___?
October's issue of Gourmet has a recipe for ancho-rubbed filet with coffee sauce at the beginning (the section where readers ask Gourmet to get them restaurant recipes). It sounds amazing and sort of Caribbean-y/spicy/different.
So here is my menu so far for a relaxed weeknight meal w/ hubbie & a friend - what suggestions do you have?
Appetizer - plantains w/ maybe an aioli?
rosemary focaccia (have been wanting to make this again)
veg (what goes with caribbeany spiced meat??)
Dessert - chocolate mousse cake w/ espresso to echo the coffee sauce in the main
