Friday evening business dinner near Ritz-Carlton Boston Commons

JRBlack Sep 27, 2007 07:37 AM

Looking for suggestions for a place for a business dinner for a group of 6 or so. Doesn't need to be walking distance from the Ritz-Carlton, but don't want too long a trip, either. Looking for something somewhat upscale, ethnic or Continental/eclectic/New American all okay. Just don't want someplace too noisy for conversation. For frame of reference, last year we took more or less the same group to Excelsior. Thanks!

#9 Park, Troquet and Pigalle are all within walking distance of the Ritz.

Via Matta for upscale Italian cuisine.

I love the food at Via Matta, but that dining room can be LOUD. If it's not a weekend night, it should be okay. I find that on a date, I welcome the loudness because it actually provides for more privacy at your table, but the noise could be tough for a group.

For a business dinner I'd probably go for No. 9 Park.

Thanks for all the tips, Bostonians, especially about the noise level at Via Matta. That knocks it off the list.

Maybe blu in the Ritz Carlton Residences? I haven't been there in a little while but last time I was there with a group of clients it was fantastic and the noise level was not bad at all
