i don't know what's worse - a big ego or ignorance of thomas keller...

Is it definitely a Thomas Keller Per Se though? I'd find it hard to believe....
If it is, love him or hate him I think it can only be a good thing for the culinary standing of Toronto..

sorry, if i was unclear. i seriously doubt it's thomas keller. i was referring to the developers of this new queen st per se...

haha, I see.... the drake-ification of queen street continues...

If it was him. The word would have gone out already. Just some one using the name.

I just love hype mongers.
Their full name is "Per Se Foods" and are listed as a Grocer/Retailer.

Keller quietly making his mark in Toronto? I doubt it. He's far too big for our britches.

plus i think he'd pick a new name instead of biting off his own

We grabbed some stuff there over the weekend. Couscous was apparently good in the opinion of my better half. We both agreed the ribs were disastrous. Good sauce flavouring over fat on bones and nothing but.
The Paella was strong and rich.
Even for a quick bite though mains to take out were super spendy. With some fine tuning though a good take out dinner for two can be done for under $40.00.
Will give it a go once more and take it from there.

I really don't think i can stomach eating at a place that bites its name (and lets face it, trying to poach reputation with some trickery) off of a world class institution.
First Craft now Per Se? What's next? A sushi bar named Momofuku?
