key lime pie at grocery store hollywood

I am in the ft lauderdale hollywood area and I want to buy a key lime pie to take home with me. where can I go to buy ie restaurant or grocery store and what brand name do you recommend.

Bob Roth's is the best and a "real" Florida treat, unlike Publix, which is OK but generic. Roths is not far from Hollywood if you have a car. Go north on A1A, turn left on "Old Griffin Rd" and follow it about 3-4 miles. It's just past the turnpike overpass on the left. They have a big orange out front. (As an aside, when Griffin Rd was widened a few years ago, the building needed a variance to stay put, as it would now be too close to the road. They brought key lime pies to the city council meeting deciding their fate, and it clinched the deal!)

If you can't manage Bob Roth's, Whole Foods makes one that is pretty good.

I am staying at the westin in hollywood. How close is the bob roth's. can I take a taxi or is it too far.

Bob Roth's New River Groves, on Griffin, just east of Davie Road, makes the absolute best key lime pies. They are the people that took their pies to Tallahassee and got the Key Lime Pie named the official pie of the state of Florida.

They're a little pricey, but I don't think you'll find a better one -- not even home made!

I 2nd Bob Roth's! Amazing Key Lime Pie!! When you are there you can pick up some of their key lime juice to keep on hand to make your own pies and to use in dressings and marinades. YUM.

There is a bakery/cafe on Hollywood Blvd in Downtown Hollywood called Chocolada. Not sure if they have Key Lime Pie but may be worth a shot. There is another bakery on the circle in downtown but I don't know the name.

Publix usually has good fresh keylime pie in the bakery

Pick up some Key Lime Juice at Publix or any store for that matter and make your own. They are very easy to make and there is nothing better than a homemand one.

One nice thing about Publix is that they'll (at least my local one) do a reasonably good job of packing their baked goods up for long travel if you ask them to.

My parents will bring back a couple of them back to Michigan for the people who feed their cat and take in the mail while they're gone, and their pies put into a cooler make the drive home in good order.

For grocery store key lime pie, I go with Edwards brand. They sell a package containing two slices in addition to whole pies.
