Rehearsal Dinner 100 people
Help please!!! Looking for good food (we know we're probably not going to get Elio's or Gramercy Tavern type uality) and not too pricey in Manhattan. Prefer Italian or continental menu. I'll take any suggestions. Its hard enough to find a place that can fit 100 people in the city. Thanks.

Fresco has a beautiful private room that will accommodate 100, but it will be pricey. Another choice might be Cibo.

Trattoria Dell 'Arte has some private rooms. Don't know if any are big enough, but the co. also owns some other restaurants that could work.

Campanile, on 29th St., b/t Madison & Park Av. S., is a hidden "neighborhood gem." The traditional Italian food served there is well-prepared and delicious. The personnel are very friendly, and service is efficient. The decor is a little old-fashioned, but the overall ambiance is pleasant and comfortable.
They do private functions. In fact, when we were there for dinner the other evening, the owner was discussing a private party with some people sitting at the next table. They have a private room, but I've not seen it, so I'm not sure it can accommodate 100 people. However, the main restaurant is certainly big enough, and I have occasionally seen a sign on the door, "Closed for Private Party," so it's possible for you to take over the entire place. Whether there is an additional charge for that I can't say.
