Warwick, NY Recommendations Needed

We will be having a family reunion in Warwick, NY to celebrate my Mother's 80th bday. There will be 12 of us all together. Any suggestions where we should have this special dinner celebration will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  1. Does it have to be IN Warwick? I have no clue if the food is still good cause it has been many years since I have been there, but I remember the Eagle's Nest In Bloomingburg being a unique place for special occasions.

No it doesn't have to be directly in Warwick. The surrounding areas will be perfectly fine. I just don't know the names of the towns in that part of NY

    2. YES!!!!

You must go to the Iron Forge Inn. It's on 17A in Bellvale, which is a tiny hamlet between Warwick and Greenwood Lake.

If you want a place that's beyond special, the Iron Forge is your best bet. It's a lovely restaurant in a historic building. The rooms are cozy and have fireplaces and are decorated with all kinds of charming antiques. It's at the end of a country road that terminates in a dairy farm.

The food is just fantastic. The chef is incredibly creative (my husband and I are not fond of squash, but we could eat bowfuls of the squash soup he makes on New Year's Eve). Ingredients are seasonal, fresh, and local. Even the ice cream on the desserts comes from that dairy farm down the street.

It's a family business. Mom is the hostess and Dad is the bartender. Service is always efficient and friendly.

I have never had a bad meal or bad service here. It's my favorite restaurant in the entire world and I can't recommend it enough to enough people.

      Check out the website.
