What I think are the best of the dining options in my neighborhood. Differing opinions encouraged. Welcomed even.

Middle Eastern - Zaytoons
Chinese - Gun to my head, I'd have to say Yummy Yummy though it's all sort of dreadful, isn't it?
Thai - Myrtle Thai
Deviled Eggs, Burgers and Martinis - Maggie Browns but I hate most everything else there, particularly the prices. Service can be good, if inconsistent.
Diner - R.I.P. Gourmet Kitchen
Pizza - Graziellas, duh.
Mexican - Castro's
Best Take Out Crack Chicken - Luz
Quick Cup of Coffee - Oh wait, there's nowhere - it always takes 20 minutes. Especially when you're in a hurry.
Relaxed Cup of Coffee - Pillow. And they're so, so nice. And the food is good too.
Best Sammies - Farmer in the Deli
Bagels - Bergen Bagels
Bodega - Don't know what it's called, but that green grocer on Myrtle b/w Washington and Hall
Cuban - Mojito
Sushi - Yamashiro

Enjoy!

I think Kum Kau has to be the choice for Chinese food in the area. It's not like something from Chinatown but IMHO nothing else in the area can compare.

For delivery and generally overall, I prefer Yummy Yummy also over Kum Kau.
