Alternative to Taverna Opa?

Help! My cousin's friends insist on going to Opa in November for her Bachelorette party, and, nothing against the fine establishment, but I have gone there 3 times in the past couple of months...can we say overload? I'm kind of over the overly loud music, flying napkins, and 60 year old tourists dancing on tables. Which sucks, because I really enjoy the food.

So if anyone would like to suggest an alternative for dinner for a Bachelorette party, I would greatly appreciate it! Something fun and memorable.

By the way, I'm in the Miami area.

i know its her party, but her friend who suggested it just kind of threw it in there, as a suggestion and i thought i could come up with a "better" suggestion. so i won't lose my hearing or be picking napkins stuck to the bottom of my shoes the next morning :)

    2. Social - Saturday night only...
      Possibly Nobu - expensive...
      China Grille
      Oasian

Social is the first place that comes to mind.

Social seems like a great idea! I always forget about that place...I will definitely suggest that to the rest of the bridal party.

Only if you are going saturday. Othewise it is dead.

      2. A similar alternative would be Mango's Tropical Cafe.

I would not recommend Mangos for a bachlorette party.

Unless it's for someone you don't like. Then it's perfect.

              Why is that?

        2. If you are looking for a great time for a bachelorette party, i'd like to suggest the fantasy party at club passions at paradise seminole hard rock. The web site describes the event as follows:

          Synopsis:
The producers of Tony n' Tina's Wedding present The Fantasy Party, a new interactive comedy where girls rule. Written and directed by Larry Pellegrini, the show is presented by Steven Levy and Leonard Soloway. The interactive event includes specialty drinks, dancing, adult games, pole-dancing lessons and a variety of activities designed to keep female guests laughing all night long.
Some of the show's outrageous characters include male dancers known as the "CEOs of Sex," a Fantasy MC, and a drag queen. According to Pellegrini, it was during the development of some of these characters that the show received its official motto: Where Girls Rule.

a co-worker of mine had her's there and said it was a blast and great for such an event .

          Hope this helps

          1. A few years ago, my friends had an engagement party at Tap Tap on 5th & Meridian and it was a blast. They hired the Haitian house band, the murals are really cool, the back left hand rooms are perfectly compartmentalized, the mojitos and Barbancourt rum drinks are really good. The downside - no hot guys, the food will be tasty but not spectacular, and the service will be "island charming" as they say. If your friends are fun, bring the party with you, then walk across the street to Love/Hate for some rock & roll, or China Grill for something swankier. Just a thought.
