I've promised to take my neice out for japanese for her birthday. I'm familiar with the options near me in Ann Arbor, but are there any good places near her in Commerce Twp/ Novi/ Wixom?

For a birthday dinner Shiro on Nine Mile could be really fun. It's a festive place in a big old house. Menu is described as Japanese and French, but the deal is that the entrees are mostly Japanese--the French food comes in on the dessert menu.
