Business Lunch Restaurant near Stonestown?

I'm looking for suggestions for a restaurant to have a lunch business meeting somewhere near Stonestown.

Food should be reasonably good and the restaurant fairly quiet so that business can be discussed discretely.

Doesn't have to be at Stonestown but close to 19th Avenue is helpful. I'll be meeting someone from the Peninsula and I'll be coming from Marin.

For example, I thought of Gold Mirror on Taraval. I've never been, don't know if it's still there, or open for lunch or any good.

All suggestions appreciated.

  1. Sorry, can't help with the quality of the food at Gold Mirror, but is it still located on Taraval & 18th Avenue.

    1. That's a tough one. Old Krakow in W. Portal or perhaps Westlake Joe's (off John Daly Blvd).

Westlake Joe's is a bit too casual for this meeting. Not enough privacy.

      2. Here are a couple of possibilities:

On Ocean Ave. between 19th Ave. and Junipera Serra:

        Lakeside Cafe

        Jitra Thai

        1. Any other sugeestions? Appreciate all thoughts.

Gold Mirror is quiet and private enough and I think the food is very good, many choices. I don't eat lamb but everyone who does raves over their rack of lamb. They have fresh fish and Italian dishes. The only negative for me is that it's pretty geriatric.
