Authentic mexican, middle eastern, thai restaurants in las vegas, requested

I'm on a month long business trip to las vegas and I'm looking for some authentic, tasty food in restaurants especially ethnic food sush middle-eastern, thai, mexican places for lunch or dinner. I'm a fan of great food in a hole in the wall kinda places. Bottom line is I want to eat tasty authentic food. I love seafood.

  1. Search the southwest board for LOS or Lotus of Siam.

Sushi Hana is supposed to be a great local sushi place that is on our to do list. Nobu and Okada have great sushi but they are expensive.

    1. I can't speak about the middle-eastern request but on the others ...

I'm sure it almost goes without saying but Lotus of Siam ( LOS ) on Sahara has been considered by some to be the best Thai restaurant in the country. I personally think the food is outstanding despite the strip mall location and cheesey decor. Highly recommended.

For really good Mexican I head to Bonito Michoacan ( or really either of the Michoacan spots - although some will tell you that Lindo is better than Bonito ... ). The food is really good and seems pretty authentic to me, although I admit that I'm not an expert in the field. Give it a try.

      1. Rincon de Buenos Aires for their steak sandwich or one of their mixed grills. Also, Viva Mercados (

        2. I've eaten at Viva Mercado's Mexican Restaurant...the place is absolutely delicious - it's where I held my wedding reception a month ago. Everyone in my party complimented me on my choice of restaurant. We had carne asada, some lovely garlic shrimp, really good (not afterthoughts) rice & beans. Anyway, the menu was huge and the ambiance just right.

          Good luck.
