Hoping to find a couple of "off the beaten track" restaurants in Manhattan to bring a friend with whom I have a friendly competition in finding interesting new places. We're in the Village, but anywhere in town is good. Recommendations?
I really wish that people would stop deleting my posts when I suggest that new members search previous posts before they ask questions.
Here's what I mean--this search for "beaten path" yields lots of recent results.http://www.chow.com/search?search%5Bq...
Tell us about the kinds of places and food-eries you and your friend typically frequent. "Off-the-beaten-track" is a relative term, esp. among Manhattan chowhounds.
