Fun restaurant for a Portland dinner?
My college friends and I are heading to Portland, ME for a wedding and are looking for a fun, inexpensive, and most of all, delicious restaurant for dinner this Friday. Any tips?
I would also suggest Silly's. Great cheap food, vegetarian friendly (but plenty of meat), crazy huge portions, and insane milkshakes. Its a small place so you might have to wait for a table but I think you'll have a blast.

White Heart is another good choice. It's a lounge with club music later at night and a great decor. Attracts a hip crowd and serves really good food (not typical pub fare) for a reasonable price. It's on Congress Street in the heart of the Arts District.
Norm's East End Grill is great fun on a Friday night; you'll probably wait for a table, but you can have a beer in the upstairs bar and do some fun people-watching. I'm not a huge BBQ fan, but I swear by Norm's pork tacos (finally made it off the specials board and onto the menu) and the steak salad.
Another fun and inexpensive option - also likely to be hopping on a Friday - is Flatbread Co., a hippie pizza place on Commercial Street. Lots of fresh ingredients, great beers on tap and a cavernous din that is lively and entertaining. Your server may well be the most laid-back person you have ever met. Sometimes that's a problem, but if you're in the right frame of mind it can be kind of entertaining.
