great restaurants in North Jersey

Can someone recommend a few great restaurants in North Jersey (between Riverdale and Lyndhurst). Not looking to go into Manhattan but want a restaurant that will impress. Open to Steakhouse, Hibachi, Italian, American, Trendy type.

Cafe Matisse in Rutherford is a beautiful resto with really good food. It also happens to be a byob which makes it easier on the pocketbook.

depending on what you get, and what night yer there, axia in tenafly will suit yer bill...it's an upscale greek taverna (think mykonos in the manhattan) with some great ideas (unfortunately, some don't "work"), but its definately a nice spot...try the ouzo cured salmon,
