Anyone been to a wedding at Traxx Restaurant?

If so, how was the food, the service and total ambience?
Possible option for our wedding ceremony and reception.

thanks so much :)

  1. I've not been to a wedding nor a wedding reception at Traxx, but I have dined there and thought the food and service were pretty good.

In terms of ambiance, well, the restaurant *is* in the middle of Union Station. I quite like the concrete and the people watching, so I thought it worked for me; it would surely be a unique ceremony and reception.

    1. Actually, I have (whick is kind of weird considering that I go to so few weddings). The space was really nice and I felt connected to all of the guests - there really were no good or bad tables. The problem was, and I don't think that this was the fault of the restaurant, the food ran out about 2/3 of the way through the receiving line - I just barely got scraps. I think that what was ordered was "cocktail" portions but it was a night wedding so I think people hadn't had dinner and they took dinner size portions (it was self-serve buffet). But maybe the catering manager should have known that it wasn't going to be enough food for the number of people.

      1. Actually, my daughter was married there a year ago June. We had a sit down served dinner. The setting couldn't have been more beautiful. The food and service were also very good. There were certain things that needed to be worked out, like parking and restrooms, but all and all it was a great location for a wedding that wasn't the usual hotel banquet type place. Great ambiance! I would definitely recommend it.
