Excellent Food in Sellersville

Went to Arielle's Country Inn (on Allentown Road in Sellersville) last night. AMAZING!
First we had a drink at the bar - nice selection of beers. I had escargot baked in puff pastry as an app and Veal tortellini in alfredo sauce for my entree. My husband got the mixed grill: duck, sausage & steak - the steak had a bbq sauce on it, so it was a little too sweet for him but delicious to me. We ordered a bottle of wine from Chili (only $16) and quite good. The atmosphere is cozy and while we did dress up, there is no dress code. There are tables outside & gardens where they grow their own lettuce, tomatos & herbs. We are happy to have found this place!!!!!!

We went to Arielle's Country Inn last evening before going to a show at the Sellersville Theater. We were very happy with our meal and loved the setting in the country. I had the ahi tuna, my husband had the rack of lamb, our guests had the mixed grill and pork tenderloin and everyone was happy with their meal. The salad was extremely fresh and crisp, and the balsamic dressing wonderful. We all agreed to come back again. The only down side was the wait staff. We had a very inexperienced waiter (probably 18 years old if that) who was extremely slow and kept returning to our table to say they were out of our original placed entrees (trout & lamb loin). It's nice to know these things before the order is placed. It's only 8 min or so away from the theater and I highly recommend it. Thanks for the recommendation!

I have to second you on that one. I'm not sure that "in Sellersville" quite gives the proper idea, though. It's really in the middle of the stix, though if you're going to the Sellersville Theater, it's close enough for a great meal. On some locals' recommendation my wife & I went last winter and it was absolutely fabulous. The owner/chef used to own a restaurant in downtown Doylestown, but hung up his toque there and hung out a shingle in the woods. They only do one seating a night, so a reservation is a good idea, though probably not necessary. They have a greenhouse in back, so they can keep the freshness coming all winter long. I almost don't want to praise it too loudly since it's that good a find, especially where it is. If you're going after dark, the easiest way to find it is that it has the only lighted sign on that stretch of Allentown Road.

The restaurant in Doylestown was Cafe Arrielle, in the Old Agricultural Works. It was replaced by Slate Bleu. His food was always wonderful in Doylestown. I cannot wait to try it again in Sellersville. Thanks for the report. How far is that from the Sellersville Theatre. I usually end up eating at the restaurant next door to the theatre, but would love another option.

It's at 740 Allentown Rd Sellersville, PA 18960, so about 12 minutes (by google maps.) If you're going at night, it's country roads which aren't the easiest to navigate, but it's well worth the exploration. Washington House is really good, but for something different, I highly recommend it. If you want something else close by, head over to Perkasie for Cafe Avocado, which has been written about elsewhere. It's about 5 minutes to the ST.

Don't forget Zenjava Bistro which is 2 doors down from Cafe Avocado. Excellent food. BYO.

I tend to pick up Cafe Avo to go, & I see Zenjava's menu, but never stop in. It looks really good & creative, but just haven't gotten a chance to stop in. I have a little more reason now. Thanks.
