Babette Sep 24, 2007 01:34 PM

We are spending Thanksgiving weekend in Jenner with friends and would like to take them out for a nice dinner. Suggestions? Thanks, everyone.

I just eat there saturday evening and it was fabulous! If you are a meat eater the Elk Chop is amazing. Currently they are running a multi course crab dinner paired with wines. I think you wil be very happy with both the food and the service.

I feel a bit like a broken record here except haven't new additions... Here goes:
Seaweed in Bodgea Bay which is a short drive south. There are very divided opinions here; I have always had fabulous food and good service by one on the partners. One nice thing about Seaweed is it very much about a sense of place so even w/o view you will definitely know you are in Bodega Bay and probably by then munching on fresh caught crab.

Healdsburg isn't far is it? There are a lot more options in that direction. Jenner is very samll.

Healdsburg is about a 45-minute drive, if you're lucky. I'd consider that far.

The River's End Restaurant was delicious the times we've been there for lunch and dinner.

We have enjoyed their crab cakes, clam chowder, and fish and chips. Fresh and tasty!

ditto and there is nothing much else in the area unless you drive to Bodega.

That does look nice. A search of this board also brought up Cafe des Jumelles--any comments?
