Vegetarian at Disney

I'll be coming to Disney World from Los Angeles in a couple weeks and already read through old posts about where to eat there, but was wondering if there are any specific recs for a vegetarian. I'll be staying on the property so am only looking for places there. (I'll be meeting with parents and sisters' families and no car so it wouldn't be an option to leave the grounds). We already have reservations for the California Grill and the Brown Derby and Jiko seems like a good option also. I've also checked out for menus, but am hoping to narrow it down to places with good vege options. Any help would be appreciated!

  1. Here is a link to a review of vegetarian options at the various Disney restaurants. I have not used it to know how accurate it is, but it would be a good start.

    1. And, generally, every restaurant there is especially friendly to special food needs. They have been on a healthy dining kick for a while and even the quick serve places offer fruit options and vegetarian substitutes.

It's always good to give them a heads up on the phone ( 800 WDW-DINE) about what you want in advance. In that regard, at least, their system works great.

      1. Counter Service:
Epcot: Morocco Counter service is the best - There is a veg. sandwich at the electric umbrella
MGM: Rosie's has veggie burgers - The commissary has a veg. sandwich ( my husband hated it)
MK: Columbia Harbor House or Cosmic rays - ( Be careful at the harbor house the chili might be a meat based sauce)
AK: They used to have a good veg sandwich but since tusker closed I don't know what happened to it

One note is Jiko does have a new chef - Also if you go to boma ask for chef TJ.
