Baby friendly dinner near Embassy Suites downtown?
I'll be in Chicago this weekend with my Mom and 7 month old, so I'm looking for a couple of recommendations for dinner places with good chow that tolerate a babbling baby well. She's only 7 months, so a kid's menu is not necessary, but a highchair is. I'd really like to stay away from the chains, and wouldn't mind something a bit nicer than pizza or burgers. We're staying at the Embassy Suites downtown lakefront - walking distance would be preferable. Any suggestions?

I second Kelly -- the number of tourists in the area ensures that children are well tolerated. We have taken our son as an infant/toddler to many of the places named above. Heaven on Seven has the loud atmosphere that keeps a baby from being noticed, and Lawry's Prime Rib is spacious and welcoming. We also enjoy casual meals at the cafe at Fox and Obel. I'm a big fan of Osteria Via Stato and have taken my son there twice.

Go to Coco Pazzo. It is right next door to your hotel, and a great relaxed atmosphere. It is also pretty loud and bustling, so your 7 month old will hardly be noticed. They also have seating outside

There are alot of restuarants by your hotel. The area you will be in sees alot of tourists so babies tend to be pretty tolerated at alot of the places. To name a few,I would try:
