My wife is going out to lunch with my mother, mother in-law, and my 6 month old daughter...any suggestions??? We live Midtown but can go anywhere.

I like the restaurant at Saks. It's really set up for a girl lunch.

Not sure about location and price range that you are looking for, but 2 places that my girlfriends and I like to hang out when we meet:

Perry street (esp. for lunch they have a 3-course prix fixe of $24.05)
Maze at the London Hotel - this place by Gordan Ramsay has the best service ever (can you believe that? GR with best service!). They serve small plates (note: Maze is more casual unlike the main dining room), but they also have afternoon tea. It is less crowded and noisy than the Modern Bar which I used to love. But now we like to hang out at Maze more because the service is better and they never rush you.

Of course one of those restaurants at Saks or Bergdorf Goodman is always good if they are planning to shop. Usually they serve decent salads.

Though I've not been to Perry Street or Maze, they don't strike me as appropriate places to bring along a 6-month old. Am I off base?

            Freds at Barneys
            Alices Tea Cup
            Brasserie 8 1/2
            The Modern Bar

Just did a girl's lunch out with a bunch of fellow teachers before school started at French roast on the UWS. The food is quite good, but most importantly they were very accomodating with my stroller and baby. Then one person was pretty late, so we basically had a 2 1/2 hour leisurely lunch and never felt rushed or like we were an imposition despite holding a table for so long.
              I would highly recommend them!

With a 6-month old, I see the perfect spot for you.
Le Pain Quotidien at 65th off of Broadway

Good call! It's called Nicole's. Great food in a fantastic space.
