Waiting for Godot at Moody's Falafel Palace

I've passed this place before but never tried it. I went recently on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a chicken kabob sandwich. It was not busy inside. My order was one of two in the queue. The lady behind the counter said it would take 15 minutes, because the chicken needed to be grilled. Ok, I thought, no problem. We pay and wait outside. 20 minutes later I go back in to check on it. Not ready yet. The guy behind the counter seems to be involved chopping stuff, so I figure he’s working on it, any second now it should be ready. Meanwhile, other customers file in for the next 10 minutes, stand around and gradually trickle out when no one seems interested in looking up from chopping and taking an order. I finally got the sandwich after waiting 35 to 40 minutes for it. I confess I was dying by this time. Is that normal for this place, the slow and indifferent service? I can't see how they could stay in business if it was, and it seemed like the type of place that would do a high volume business at lunch or 2am. Any regulars want to comment?

That is very odd. I swing by there every few weeks, and it is usually pretty busy and I am still out of there in 10 minutes tops, and I usually order the chicken rollup.

I am usually in there for a late snack (8-10pm), never been in the afternoon.

It was fine. Unremarkable for the effort, however,
