Can't-miss Toronto dinner spots?
Hi all, in from Los Angeles for the next two weeks on a business trip, staying downtown at the Hilton very near Queen and King streets but I have a car so can drive if necessary. Where should I eat? Looking for great places in the $50 and under per person range, everything from nicer sit-downs to cheap local favorites! Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

The US$ isn't what it used to be with it being at par with the CDN$ these days, so keeping it under $50, including drinks and tips, isn't going to get you very much in the "can't miss" department. For $50, off the top of my head, I'd suggest Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar at Church/Front or Kultura at Kind/Jarvis, but you'll have to keep the drinks to a minimum to stay under $50.
For cheap local favorites, off the top of my head, I can think of Salad King at Yonge/Gould if you like Thai; or Vietnamese in Chinatown.
