I'm going to be in Freeport for a long weekend to attend a wedding in a few weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to eat? I'm looking for mostly lunch places and bars. Thanks.

Gritty McDuff's has solid pub food and a range of beers they make...my fav is the brown ale.

Do a search as there have been a few threads on Freeport the past few months. I was up there in August and can recommend the Broad Arrow Tavern inside the Harraseeket Inn, and the Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster in South Freeport. The Thai place south of town on Rt 1 near the Holiday Inn Express is also very good.

I agree with dpan - Broad Arrow is a great tavern and the Harraseeket in South Freeport is right on the harbor and has good seafood. I've heard of a couple of good German restaurants in Brunswick (next town north), but haven't had an opportunity to try them.
