Ventura - Zaytoon Lebanese - anyone tried it?

A friend told me that there is a new Lebanese place on Front St. (that little diagonal off of Thompson Blvd. by the railroad tracks) called Zaytoon. Has anyone tried it yet? I drove by yesterday but I think I was too early for lunch (11ish).

We were anxious to try it and went to see it........ however it doesnt have a liquor license yet and looks like it doesnt know what it wants to be....a pool hall, a bar or a restaurant? No atmosphere at all...very brightly lit menu board is all they have showing food - the food looks somewhat limited in selection but we didnt see any being served so hard to tell what it was like.....Paper plates now is what I heard, no real plates or silverware yet and very small tables crowded in front of the pool table and right near front door which is hardly inviting.....needs some serious thinking about how to make it more attractive and a place you want to spend time in...After two minutes we left and didnt even try to eat there...maybe it will be better in a month?

I have gone by five times at different times of the day, night and week and it NEVER seems to be open. I have kind of given up.

i think i'm gonna try it tonight.

food's purdy good, they've only been open two weeks
small place, not many tables.
I'll return but maybe in a month
when the bar is open
