Hi board,
Just moved to Manhattan to start my career as a chef at Daniel. Problem...dont know anything about the area im living in. I'm dying for some good baked good. I live right next to penn station (31st between 6th and 7th). Anything walking distance will be a HUGE plus. If you can think of any other lil spots in my area that I need to try let me know. THANKS

Dan

Sorry, tried to link to the bakeries but this Places thing is buggy...

In any case, Billy's Bakery is pretty close to you, as is Big Booty and Madeleine Patisserie.

Cupcake Cafe is in walking distance....just south of port authority.
For a bit longer walk try Bouchon Bakery in Time Warner Center.
