Andrea Clurfeld's Review of Antoinetta's

Evidently Ms. Clurfeld didn't have a positive experience:

Neither did I. Took some friends expecting something really good. Ended up with no bread and cold entrees. I won't be back.

I am quite surprised to hear this about Antoinetta's. I recall hearing from either a friend or someone on this board that the place was really good. I guess you live and learn.

You heard it right here, bgut1. :) We had dinner there a few months back and everything was perfect from the moment we walked in. Maybe we're not as sophisticated as Ms. Clurfeld? :D

I thought it was you Martini! Don't worry. We don't respect Ms. Clurfeld's opinion around here too much.

My parents told me about this review; thanks for the link. I had wanted to try it this summer, but we never got around to it. I was looking forward to it. After reading this; it may no longer be a contender. Just waiting almost an hour for your reserved table is inexcusable. After all that, if the food was fabulous, the bad entrance might be forgotten. But bad food combined with sloppy service is no winner in my book.

i remember reading about trinity. http://www.chowhound.com/topics/41395... we have been a few times. beautiful restaurant. there will always be some kinks with new places but i will continue to go back hoping things will come together. it is nice not to have to drive too far for this quality of food and atmosphere.
