We will be travelling to Paris next may. Due to schedules and airline ticket availablity we are stuck with arriving in Paris on May 1st. Understand that the entire city shuts down that day (and maybe through the weekend). Any suggestions for restaurants that might be open to serve two jet-lagged souls a decent meal that day? We are staying in the 7th near Champ du Mars, so something within reasonable walking distance would be nice, but not a requirement.

Thanks in advance

  1. I have often been in Paris on May Day. Yes, it is a holiday (Labour Day), but I've never had a problem finding a restaurant or café-bar. And the métro operates.
