Charcoal was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I have yet to hear one positive thing come from any review.

If you're thinking Charcoal, consider instead Citizen Smith which is about a block away.

I haven't eaten at Charcoal because I too have heard only very negative reports...I definitely wouldn't risk my dinner party on it.

Malo is a good pick for large parties, and it's right around the same price as SK. Their food is definitely on par, and the drinks are much better.
