I was looking at the web site for the edible schoolyard that Alice Waters started and thought it would be great to volunteer time there. Unfortunately I live in San Mateo so it's not very convenient. Does anybody know of other similar things that are happening on the Peninsula?

I don't know of anything specific on the peninsula, but I would try calling your school district to find schools with gardens, after school garden clubs and so on. Good for you!
