Need Lunch Help- Upscale

My friend from Australia needs an upscale recommendation for lunch tomorrow. He is looking for something with great food, but not to dressy and prix-fixe would be great. Somewhere in Manhattan, prefereably New American or Italian. I know that sometimes lunch service isn't as good as dinner, so can you please suggest places with great lunch options.

I'm not sure what you mean by not dressy. I think business casual would work (although I've seen people dressed worse) at any of these places I've tried and would recommend:

Perry Street
Bouley
Fleur de Sel

Not dressy I mean casual pants or even jeans and a tucked in collared shirt. Definitely no jackets required.
