Where are all the Venice taco trucks??!!

Was walking down Lincoln near Rose, etc. Couldn't find any of the great taco trucks people mentioned. WHERE ARE THEY??

Check out La Isla Bonita on Lincoln closer to Main, between 3rd and 4th. Every day for lunch except Thursdays. (And sometimes they're randomly not there too.)

Get a ceviche tostada, shrimp tostada, and three tacos. Perfection. Just watch out for the pepper on the taco plate -- that mother is H-O-T.

I'm done with La Playita. Used to be one of my favorites but they've changed over the last few years. Still need to check out La Oaxaquena.

Thanks, Quality. When you say lunchtime, does that mean that La Isla Bonita is only there for limited hours... say noon to 2pm? Hmm. Not crazy about this whole "random " thing...

It's there from 11-ish till at least 4pm, probably later.

Heh, yes, the randomness is kind of annoying if you're trying to plan. But it also adds to the character. :)

If you really need to plan I could ask them if they have a phone number. I work very close so I basically poke my head down the street and see if they're around.

When you say "Check out La Isla Bonita on Lincoln closer to Main, between 3rd and 4th" I think all of those run parallel to each other don't they? I have seen La Isla Bonita in the old days near Rose on Lincoln. Has it moved from that location?

I can only speak for weekends, but that truck parks on Rose, between 3rd and 4th, next to the self-storage facility on the south side of the street.

La Oaxaquena parks on Lincoln across from Baby Blues BBQ after 7:30pm. The daytime truck is on Rose near 4th. They are usually always there at these times, but if you miss them you can always go to La Playita.
