I recommend the Black Forest Cafe in Amherst-always been reliable for me. They have a seasonal focus to their menu.

Jackie's Diner on Main Street was voted best breakfast by Hippo Press. The City Room Cafe on W. Pearl Street is also good, tho service can be slow. Poor Pierre's on S. Main St has that old Nashua flavah--can't remember if they serve poutine, but you can definitely get baked beans. The Dream Diner just south of the border in Tyngsboro is owned by one of the sisters who also own the legendary Owl Diner in Lowell.

BTW - Just went to Owl Diner this morning, and as usual, their Eggs Bennie was really great.
The pancake special that my girlfriend got was really good -- 2 pancakes with fresh blueberries, strawberries and walnuts. Def. worth it.
While folks may have problems getting parking in their lot, and in the spaces right in front of the diner, there generally is plenty of street parking.

In Manchester, which is just north of Nashua, you should go to the Red Arrow diner. It is one of those "legendary" places which one should at least try once - if only for the history (I am actually recommending good food here - but you should judge for yourself). There is also some really good food to be had for other meals in both Nashua and Manchester.

I second the Red Arrow as well if in that area, for lunch or dinner too. It's really a great place. Sweet potatoe chips are awesome. I've picked up some salmon pies too. I haven't had breakfast but I've had lunch and dinner there. Can only imagine, breakfast must be good - it's such an icon in Manchester.
